SA: Vehicle sales rise in November
ADELAIDE, Dec 6 AAP - New vehicles sales rose 2.7 per cent in November compared to
the same month last year, according to official figures released today.
The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries said 71,796 new cars and trucks were sold
last month, up from 69,921 in November, 1999.
That resulted in sales on a year-to-date basis of 710,435 units, down just 0.5 per
cent or 3,836 vehicles compared to the first 11 months last year.
Toyota was the top-selling car company in November with 15,160 units ahead of Holden on 14,860.
Toyota also led overall with 140,671 units ahead of Holden with 139,105.
