The Albany ConQuest of the Arenafootball2 league have been assigned wide receiver/defensive back Dan Gmelin.
Gmelin, a four-year letterwinner at the University at Albany, finished as the Great Danes' all-time leader in receptions (136), receiveing yards (2,243), touchdowns (17) and all-purpose yards (3,185).
In 1997, Gmelin signed as an undrafted free agent with the San Diego Chargers and went through training camp before being released prior to the team's first preseason game.
