Greengrocer's saved as buyer takes over

Thirteen jobs have been saved and the future of a popular Bathgreengrocer's assured after a new buyer was found.

The prospects did not look good for the Stokes branch in OldfieldPark after the firm was placed in administration on October 20.

But the shop is now on a firm footing after being bought byArgyle Trading.

Southampton-based Argyle Trading is effectively a vehicle set upby another company, Premier Fruits, to buy five of Stokes' 27stores.

The demand for local, independent traders is what persuadedArgyle Trading to snap up the store in Moorland Road.
